Arizona Skiers to Experience June Skiing for First Time Ever

For skiers in Flagstaff, Arizona, the ski season isn't over yet. For the first time ever, Arizona Snowbowl will be open for skiing and riding until June 1st (the latest ski date the state has ever seen).

Snowbowl has received 281 inches of snowfall so far this season, and 55 inches came down in April alone. With those factors in mind, the 2023/2024 winter season is now, officially, Snowbowl’s longest ski season in history. See below.

Snowbowl will be open for skiing and snowboarding on Memorial Day weekend, (Friday, May 24th - Monday, May 27th), go on a brief hiatus, and will reopen on Saturday, June 1st.

The Arizona Gondola will be the only lift spinning for both Memorial Day weekend and closing day, but it does offer skiers and riders access to advanced terrain at Snowbowl.

The resort has a base depth of 48 inches, and also currently has a temperature of 48 degrees F.

Officials at Snowbowl are clearly excited about their long season (as anyone would be!) and, in those spirits, the resort is offering $19 lift tickets for guests who purchase tickets online, in advance.

The resort is also extending its good spirits and deals to professors, military, and first responders, among others, with $10 lift tickets for skiing and snowboarding.

Officials at Snowbowl have deemed this year's closing date as "historical" due to the length of the season, and it indeed sounds like it will be a memorable last day. With the unusual skiing location, late date in the season, and lift ticket prices, this should be a good time for all who can attend.
