Ariana Grande Wore a Twisted Bun During a Shopping Trip
Ariana Grande is known for her signature ponytail. The super-powered style is beloved by fans, and even increased the sale of extensions in Australia. But in recent weeks Ariana has been switching it up, going from space buns to a straight and down hairdo. And just when we thought we'd seen it all, she's introduced a twisted bun into her hair routine.
During a weekend shopping trip with friends, Ariana was spotted wearing a very glamorous take on a traditional updo. She appeared to have pulled her auburn hair up and twisted it into a tight bun atop the middle of her head. Working her hair magic, Ariana slicked the style back, with not a strand out of place.
With her hair pulled back, Ariana turned her focus to the day's makeup palette. She showed just a subtle classic eye wing, and appeared to be wearing a light coat of mascara. She left her lips looking natural in a nude shade. The makeup was highlighted by dangling circular earrings that nearly reached the pop star's jawline.
In addition to the very polished beauty routine, Ariana kept her fashion choices equally subtle. She wore an oversize puffy white jacket, matching white boots with a heel, and a black cross-body purse.
The bun was a definite departure from the singer's favored high ponytail. There's no telling what inspired the change in style, but as her hairstylist previously revealed, the height of her updo is meant to convey different meanings about her look. "It's all about the placement," he said. "The higher you go, the fiercer it looks. The lower you go, the more professional or serious it looks. It can change the whole shape of your face. It can snatch your face upward and lift your eyes, or it can pull your eyes down."
