Ariana Grande Wore the Graphic Liner From Her "Rain on Me" Music Video to Celebrate Its Debut

Unless you were avoiding the news yesterday, you'll know that Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga just dropped a new duet called "Rain on Me," and it's already shipping up to be the hottest anthem of the summer. Along with the hit single, the duo also released a music video in which they're both boasting waist-length hair and white graphic eyeliner. To celebrate the video's grand debut, Grande took a stab at re-creating the fun liner look on her own, and it turned out seriously impressive.

The 26-year-old singer showed off her version of the eye look on her Instagram Stories and tagged Michael Anthony — aka the makeup artist who originally made it happen. Unlike Gaga's eyeliner, which was shaded in, Grande's was left open to give it more of an abstract and futuristic feel. It's also worth noting that Anthony gave Grande her signature black wing underneath the white liner to add an extra dimension to the look.

While Grande didn't reveal what products she used to re-create the eye look, we think it's safe to say any white liquid or gel eyeliner will do the trick. Make Up For Ever's Aqua XL Ink Eye Liner in Matte White and the Marc Jacobs Beauty Fineliner Ultra-Skinny Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner in (Big)Eyes! are both excellent options that are opaque and long-lasting.

What's more: You could take a cue from makeup artist Sarah Tanno, who used shade 911 from the Haus Laboratories Stupid Love Palette to achieve Gaga's solid white wing. We recommend using an angled eyeliner brush if you're going for a look like Grande's, as it gives you the most control when doing a winged-out look with eye shadow. Another tip? Dampen the brush first to make sure the shadow is as pigmented as possible.

Props to the pop star for such a cool recreation — and for inspiring us to try a graphic liner look like this soon.
