Though Glinda the Good Witch hasn’t made her way to the big screen just yet, Ariana Grande still had to honor her at the biggest night in cinema. The 2024 Oscars marks the first award show that the mega pop star has attended this year—skipping out on the Grammys and Golden Globes, possibly to focus on the release of her upcoming, film-inspired album, Eternal Sunshine. Although we missed her on the red carpets of award shows past, seeing her at the Oscars channeling her highly anticipated Wicked character warmed our heart.

This time around, Grande wasn’t attending as nominee, but as a presenter. She joined her future Wicked costars, Cynthia Eviro and Michelle Yeoh, as well as numerous other A-listers like America Ferrera, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Issa Rae as one of the many big names to take to the stage. How did she ring in the accomplishment? Jaw-dropping fashion and beauty, of course.

To walk the red carpet, Ariana wore a baby pink custom Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown that looked like it could've been her costume for the upcomingWicked live action film. The dress had a tight-fitting ruffly base layer—hugging her body from the strapless neckline to the floor-grazing ends. Then, it was made all the more magical with the addition of a larger-than-life train that billowed out from her waist and trailed behind her as she walked. Of course, accessorizing with matching pink Tiffany & Co. jewelry.

However, once we took our eye off the couture gown, we realized her hair was just as good (witch). Slicked back tight behind her into a bun of sorts, she curled all the bright blonde strands sticking out from it into tight, bouncy coils. The curls grazed her shoulders and neck as she posed. Then, a few face framing wisps added more shape and drama to the look. Sticking out multiple inches past her head, the curls gave us Glinda the Good Witch goes to prom.

Grande kept her makeup classic and glamorous, of course, also going heavy on the pink. Grande's skin gave a natural-matte base for her pink lips to shine. Then, her eyes added extra drama with a thick stroke of liner and long wispy lashes.
