Ariana Grande Trades Her Iconic High Pony for Cute Pigtails in First 2020 MTV VMAs Look

Ariana Grande is sporting a brand new look for the 2020 MTV VMAs.

The pop star gave fans a sneak peek at one of her looks of the night with a couple of photos and fans might be surprised to see that she's not sporting her iconic ponytail. Instead she traded it in for cute long pigtails along with a monochromatic look featuring a long-sleeved black leather look by Mugler and white Giuseppe heels.

In a second post featuring the outfit, Ari shouted out MTV and all the crew behind the scenes on working together to make the award show possible even during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"happy VMA day ::) so excited for u see our first rain on me performance tonight ! @ladygaga is fucking incredible and i’m so honored to share this moment with her and u all," she wrote. "Also just want to say thank you to @MTV being so diligent in making this such a safe & healthy experience for all of the performers and crew involved. it’s so greatly appreciated and i can’t imagine how difficult it was to figure out! see u all so soon! 🌧"

While the VMAs might look a little different this year, Ariana and Lady Gaga are set to tear the house down with their first live performance of "Rain on Me". They're also tied for the most nominations with 9 each, so there's a good chance that they'll be taking a home a moon person.
