Ariana Grande Talked About the "Painful Yet Beautiful" Stage of Life She's in Right Now

"When it rains it pours but I’m embracing all of it."

Just when we thought Ariana Grande had blessed us with the highest honor (i.e. recent smash “Thank u, next”, the singer proved us wrong and delivers yet again. This time, in the form of some end-of-the-year pearls of wisdom.

Over the weekend, Ari took some time to reflect on the past few months in her life and share some advice we could all use in our New Year’s resolutions (even if it’s a month too early). In a Twitter spree, she highlighted the importance of friendship, hardships and positive thinking.

“I love y’all so damn much. Thank u so so much for everything’” the singer wrote on her account, before enlightening her Twitter followers with a candid, wise take about the aftermath of her first no. 1 single "Thank u, next."

“What an interesting, challenging, painful and yet beautiful and exciting chapter of life ..... when it rains it pours but I’m embracing all of it,” Ari quickly followed. “I’m excited for whatever else the universe has in store for me. she’s growing n she’s grateful.”

She then also name-checked her supportive friends Victoria Monét, Tommy Brown and Tayla Parx writing, “Thank u to my best friends who have helped me turn the literal sourest of lemons into the sweetest pink ass lemonade ever.”

While it’s undeniable that Ari has had a tough year, her willingness to push through is a positive example for Arianators. Responding to a fan that thanked her for “sharing your pain w us and letting us in’” Ari wrote, “I honestly wouldn’t have been able to continue at all or process any of it as well without u as my motivation. so thank u for holding my hand thru it all, wether [sic] u could feel it or not.”

As demonstrated by this series of tweets, there’s so much to learn from Ari’s resilience and gratefulness. “To watch you have this much grace and strength is inspiration for the world and probably aliens toooo tbh,” Victoria Monét wrote in response to Ari’s tweet.

Since “Thank U, Next” released a mere week ago, fans have been praising Ari for her attitude on social media (even Luke Skywalker himself chimed in, to Ari’s own disbelief).

Despite hardships, she’s still serving us the best version of herself, proving she is an ultimate queen. If you’re feeling in a bit of a rut as 2018 comes to an end, don’t hesitate to take Ari’s words of wisdom as magnificent advice — to grow and be grateful, indeed.
