Ariana Grande’s Courrèges Fall 2022 Outfit

In the first photo of her carousel post, the “positions” hitmaker emphasized her curves in a mirror selfie, and accessorized with a black hat with the Wicked logo embroidered in white (paying homage to the upcoming musical film that she is currently filming, and starring as the beloved ‘good witch’ role, Glinda!)

The “7 rings” singer’s top was from the Courrèges Fall 2022 collection, and her skirt was also from the label, specifically its ‘Reedition Vinyl’ miniskirt in the ‘cloud blue’ hue. Under her ‘Wicked’ hat, Grande slicked back her newly dyed blonde locks into a sleek, wavy ponytail, and drew more attention to her makeup look. The r.e.m. Beauty mogul went for her signature black cat-eye liner, voluminous lashes, rosy blush on her cheekbones, and a glossy pink lip.

Naturally, many fans (as seen in Grande’s comment section) were thrilled to see her don such a “cute and classy” outfit as one wrote, and also to witness her commemorating her upcoming Wicked role with her hat choice, which her devotees are “more than excited” to see her star in, as another expressed.

Another IG user wrote that Grande’s blue look was giving “glinda on her way to tennis” vibes, and we really can’t agree more. Some other witty fan recognized Grande’s clothing label choice, while also referncing her forthcoming Glinda portrayal, writing, “it takes great courrèges to be a witch!” Others conveyed their (and our) thoughts on Grande’s blue top, skirt and hat with the help of heart-eye, red heart and fire emojis.

The other additions to Grande’s upload included a serene video of a woodsy backyard with the sound of rain in the background, a clip of Grande posing in a vehicle while wearing an oversized, puffy white coat, a cute snap of a dog behind a couch, other cute pics with friends and close-ups of her makeup looks, and another photo in her Courrèges-designed look while standing with her Wicked co-star, Cynthia Erivo (presumably on the set of the film).

What We Know So Far About Grande’s Role In Wicked

The highly anticipated John M. Chu-directed Wicked movie will also star Oscar nominee Erivo and Bridgerton alum Jonathan Bailey. It is set for a December 24, 2024 release date, as another commenter under Grande’s post acknowledged, writing to the Glinda actress, “desperately need it to be 2024 !!!! my bones can’t take it.”

Grande, as fans will know, has long loved the character of Glinda from watching stage productions of the modern classic Broadway musical, even tweeting in 2011, “Loved seeing Wicked again… amazing production! Made me realize again how badly I want 2 play Glinda at some point in my life! #DreamRole.”

Luckily for Grande, Chu announced in April 2022 that the big screen adaptation will have not one, but two films splitting the material, with the first premiering in December of 2024, and the second ideally arriving one year later, in December 2025. In a May 2022  Q&A video posted to her beauty YouTube channel, Grande opened up about choosing to play her dream role rather than to focus on a new album or upcoming music, telling her fans, “The truth is, I have not begun an album.” She added that instead, she “went into full preparation mode” to score the role of Glinda.

She went on, “I know the material like the back of my hand, but I still have so much to learn.” Grande continued, “I went pretty hard getting ready.” The former Voice coach noted that she’s giving “every piece of me, every minute, every ounce of my heart, my time, my everything that I can give it … I am spending all my time with Glinda.” (We’re marking our calendars for 2024!)
