Ariana Grande Performed at the March For Our Lives

She sang "Be Alright."

Ariana performed at the March For Our Lives on March 24, rallying with thousands of young people against gun violence. Saturday's performance comes nearly a year after a bomber carried out an attack in England that killed 22 people and injured 59 others. Her first performance after the bombing was a Manchester tribute concert on June 4, during which Ariana both raised money for victims of the attack and showed that she wouldn't back down in the face of terrorism. She also performed at the Charlottesville tribute concert, which honored the life of Heather Heyer, who was killed when someone drove a car into a crowd of counter-protestors at a white nationalist rally.

During the performance on Saturday, Ariana sang "Be Alright" while wearing a long March for Our Lives sweatshirt and a "We call B.S." pin. After her performance, she posed for photos with a group of young people who ran on stage to support her.

The week before the march, Parkland survivor David Hogg announced that Ariana would be at the march during an appearance on CNN, adding that Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, and Jennifer Hudson would also stand alongside young people during the event.

"We're gonna have four major independent women that are standing with us and walking beside us," David told CNN. "They’re gonna be standing there with us and marching with us and they’re just some of the few people that are really coming out and stepping up with us."

In February, Ariana's manager, Scooter Braun, said on the "Big Questions with Cal Fussman" podcast that she had suffered trauma as a result of the Manchester attack, according to People.

“When she found out that fans of hers had died she was so sad. She cried for days,” he said. “She felt everything — every face they announced, every name, she wore on her sleeve. Every bit of emotion because that’s who she is.”

Ariana visited victims of the attack while they were in the hospital, posing for pictures with them and comforting them as they recovered.

"This is for these brilliant students here today that are leading this march," Ariana said just before exiting the stage at the march. "We're fighting for change and love and safety and for our future. I love you all so much."
