Long after rumors first spread that Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez's marriage was over, the two have made it official, with both Grande and Gomez filing for divorce.

On Monday, Sept. 18, Grande's lawyer, Laura Wasser, filed for divorce for her client, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split. Soon after, Gomez also filed for divorce. The couple's date of separation is listed as Feb. 20.

It appears that the two worked everything out together ahead of time. A source told TMZ of the process, "They’ve been really caring and respectful of one another every step of this process." Grande and Gomez also had a prenup, which will likely make the whole process a lot easier.

News of the couple's split first dropped in mid-July, right before it was reported that Grande was dating her Wicked co-star, Ethan Slater. Slater filed for divorce from his wife, Lilly Jay, at the end of July.

Slater and Jay were high school sweethearts who got married in 2018 and welcomed their first child together in 2022. Reports state that Slater "desperately" wants to co-parent their child, and Jay allegedly agreed.

Grande and Slater's relationship news got mixed reactions from the public, though neither of them has shared any public comments about the situation.

Although the date of separation for Grande and Gomez is listed as Feb. 20, the "Die For You" singer shared a post in commemoration of her and Gomez's second wedding anniversary in May.

Grande and Gomez first started dating in early 2020, and by the end of the year, they were engaged. The two got married on May 15, 2021, and remained relatively private throughout their romance.

Neither Grande nor Gomez has publicly commented on their divorce.
