Ariana Grande Just Said Her Upside Down Christmas Tree Is a Metaphor for Her Life

Ariana Grande has had a pretty rough 2018, and to get through it she's channeling her feelings into her holiday decor. You know, the usual!

Her brother Frankie posted a picture of her tree and it's probably not what you expected.

BECAUSE IT'S UPSIDE DOWN. This is not only impressive because it's defying gravity and everything but it's also just a totally unnecessary, yet important, flex.

When she was out in NYC today, a member of the paparazzi asked her why she had her tree like that, and she said, "Sometimes life just be upside down." And damn, she's not wrong about that.

This year alone, Ariana released an album, broke up with boyfriend Mac Miller, lost Mac Miller to an accidental drug overdose, got engaged to Pete Davidson, broke off said engagement, planned a world tour, and accidentally inserted herself into a feud with Drake and Kanye West.

So yeah, you could say it was a whirlwind 2018. At least she can be light-hearted about it! Wishing Ariana a very merry Christmas under that upside down tree. ❤️
