Ariana Grande Held an Onstage "Victorious" Reunion With Matt Bennett and Liz Gillies

Thank u!!!

You know what I love? A good, old-fashioned reunion, especially when that reunion involves, say, Ariana Grande and her Victorious co-stars Liz Gillies and Matt Bennett. Ariana is no stranger to involving her former co-stars in her music videos, but she took the reunion to a whole 'nother level earlier this week when she brought Liz and Matt onstage during her concert in Atlanta.

It's not like Liz and Matt's reunion with Ariana onstage was a total surprise; the "Thank u, next" singer was hinting about it on Twitter earlier in the day. Just hours before the show began, Ariana tweeted, "Guys i can’t tell u why yet but i’m so excited for tonight i’ve never felt this way goodbye," and Liz popped in with, "why?" At the time, it probably seemed like a cute interaction between former Victorious co-stars who've remained close. Instead, it low-key teased Liz's appearance later on the stage that night (hindsight is 20/20, etc.)

Ariana, Liz, and Matt all posted lots of photos and videos to Twitter and Instagram with sweet messages about their reunion and how much they adore one another. In one video posted to Liz's Twitter TL, you can see watch her and Ariana belting out a duet that honestly makes you want them to release an entire album together (no? Just me?). Matt shared a photo set to his Instagram showing him and Ariana onstage performing, pairing it with a second photo of the two besties during their Victorious days. And, of course, there were plenty of pictures shared by all on Instagram of them hanging out backstage and clowning around. So, basically, a perfect reunion sitch.

The Atlanta reunion is also evidence that Ariana is slowly recovering after getting sick during her London performance date and having to cancel a concert. Last week, she shared on Instagram, "I’ve been sick since the last London show. I don’t know how it’s possible but my throat and head are still in so much pain. I sound okay, I’m just in a lot of pain and it’s difficult to breathe during the show." It seems like the power of some rest and a good onstage reunion are just the medicine Ariana needed to get back in the game.
