Ariana Grande’s Head-to-Toe Yellow Outfit Is All the Summer Inspo I Need
Ariana Grande is feeling the sunshine vibes of summer with her latest head-to-toe yellow ensemble. On June 15, the musician posted some pics of her bright buttercup yellow Versace look, which she wore to film with James Corden and has quickly become all the 'fit inspo I need for the season.
The zesty look was so Ariana, a mix of ‘60s mod and ‘90s pop star with a modern edge. The outfit, which was first seen on Versace’s Fall/Winter 2021 runway, began with a pair of textured yellow tights, topped off with a coordinating yellow belted mini dress with cap sleeves. Ariana wore the look with matching yellow Mary Jane platforms with a chunky skyscraper heel – yes, the ones that took over social media when they were first shown on the runway. She wore her hair half-up and accessorized the sunny outfit with a choker necklace and earrings. Even her makeup look had a hint of yellow, with a subtle pop of the color in her shadow. (Oh, and it looks like her Eevee tattoo is now back!)
The look is a bit of a departure for Ariana, who generally wears black, neutrals, and pastels. Could it be a celebratory outfit meant to represent her newly-wedded bliss? Is this the dawn of a new era for Ariana? We'll have to wait and see but we know one thing for sure: Yellow is definitely the color of the season – just take a look at Ari, BTS’s “Butter," and Lorde’s look in the “Solar Power” video. Bright yellow is also one of the Pantone colors of the year, so the major moment the color is having in pop culture and celebrity style doesn't quite come as a surprise!
Ariana’s full-on Versace moment isn’t available to shop yet, but it’s definitely something you could try to replicate via pieces from the thrift or vintage store if you, too, would like to feel like super-stylish human sunshine.
