Ariana Grande’s first-ever live album is a Christmas present for all of us

Merry Christmas, Arianators! Your favorite ponytailed singer just dropped a hefty Christmas present under your tree, and we’re guessing it’s wrapped in a giant black bow. That’s right: Early this morning, December 23rd, Ariana Grande surprised fans by releasing her first-ever live album.

The singer has been performing on her Sweetener world tour since March of 2019, showing off her pipes in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Last night marked the final night of her tour in Inglewood, California. Just because she was hanging up her extensions for the year, Ari wasn’t going to leave her fans empty-handed heading into 2020. She closed her tour with a heartfelt speech thanking her fans for supporting her through a few difficult years.

Then, around 2 a.m. EST on Monday, December 23rd, Grande dropped her first-ever live album, K Bye For Now (Swt Live).

Arianators are in for a sweet treat this Christmas Eve Eve, because the 32-track live album follows the Sweetener world tour setlist almost exactly, with a few surprise songs sprinkled in. Anyone who wasn’t able to snag a ticket to her massive tour can now listen along as if they were in the audience, watching Ari whip her ponytail in a tulle dress.

It’s no secret that Grande cranks albums out like nobody’s business—she released Sweetener in August 2018, quickly followed by thank u, next in February 2019so it isn’t shocking that she had another album up her sleeve before 2020 hits. Ari has been teasing a new live album for a while now, making fans eager with anticipation for the past month.

And now, fans have been blessed with said live album, just in time for Christmas. Cue us dancing to “Jingle Bell Rock” like Regina George à la Ari in the “thank u, next” music video.

With 32 songs, K Bye For Now (Swt Live) is the gift that keeps on giving. We’ll be belting out the lyrics to this lengthy album far into the new year.
