Today, fans have a reason to say “thank u” to Ariana Grande, as she just announced she’ll be dropping her next album sooner rather than later.

The news comes more than three years after her last release, 2020’s Positions. Soon, Grande won’t just have “7 rings,” but also seven studio albums.

The “God Is a Woman” singer teased her new music with a carousel of images and videos posted to Instagram, tagging producer Ilya Salmanzadeh and Republic Records, among other users. She captioned the post, “see you next year ♡”.

Grande included a selfie in which she is crying in a recording studio, and a video of herself lying on a coach while the person filming asks, “Is this almost the last day of this album?” The pop star responds, “I’m so tired but so happy and grateful.” She also shared flicks of care packages from her R.E.M. Beauty brand, including lipsticks, and postcards boasting a closeup of her own red lips—an image some are speculating could be album art.

Grande went on to repost one of the images to her Story, writing: “the two moods of the album.”

This is Grande’s third time alluding to her new project on Instagram. She excited fans first by uploading a collection of photos and videos of herself in the studio on December 7, then again with a compilation of short clips on December 17. Judging by her latest photo dump, which graced her 380 million followers’ feeds on December 27, the number 7 holds some kind of significance.

Also due next year is Grande’s feature film and musical debut in Jon M. Chu’s adaptation of Broadway’s Wicked, scheduled to hit theaters in November. Grande stars as Glinda, alongside Ethan Slater, who plays Boq. The two have been romantically linked since July.
