We all know Ariana Grande loves a throwback glam moment. She practically owns the retro-futuristic ‘60s aesthetic—wearing a version of it to celebrate the launch of her r.e.m. foundation, modeling in fragrance campaigns, and most notably on her Positions album cover. However, her latest flashback glam took inspo from the '90s, and we loved the change of scenery.

On October 30, the pop superstar shared a handful of Instagram posts showing off her Halloween costume—Elizabeth Berkley's character Nomi Malone from the 1995 movie Showgirls. Her former Victorious co-star and bestie Liz Gillies was dressed as Gina Gershon's character, Cristal Connors.

Grande channeled the character—an up-and-coming Vegas dancer—with a handful of different outfits, hairstyles, and makeup looks. However, we were most entranced by her "on-stage" look, where she replicated Nomi's absolutely iconic rhinestone look, covering herself from head to toe in glittering accents.

Grande has shorter hair than Nomi, so she swapped the long braid for a simple ponytail, but every other detail was spot on with the source material. She pulled her dirty blonde hair into a high ponytail, slicking every strand down to be snug against her head. On top of her slicked-down hair, the star added thick stripes of golden glitter evenly spaced throughout her whole head—starting just above her ear and stretching from forehead to ponytail.

The glitter only continued to the rest of her look, onto her eye makeup. She wore a dramatic cat eye on her upper lash line, which was mirrored in dark liner under her eye. A stark white shade lined her lower waterline, and continued in-between the two black wings for a '60s mod effect. The rest of her eye was sculpted out with matte brown shades. To finish the look, she wore a row of sparking rhinestones on her upper wing, and on the white shade under her eyes.

The rest of her makeup complimented the high shine of her hair and eyes while not taking any of the focus away from the statement shimmer. Her skin was matte perfection, with a sculpting contour on her cheeks and forehead. There was a heavy coat of pink blush on her cheeks that matched her glossy pink lips, completing her look.

A rhinestone-covered top and dangling pearl earrings completed her cosplay—though truthfully, this look is way too good to be considered a costume.
