  • To ring in her 27th birthday, Ariana Grande celebrated by throwing a party inspired by the 2019 horror-drama Midsommar.

  • In photos, Grande posed in accessories likened to the film's signature flower crowns.

  • She celebrated with friends, family, and boyfriend Dalton Gomez.

I offer my deepest condolences to every other Cancer who has to share their birthday season with the zodiac's queen bee, Ariana Grande. The Grammy Award–winning singer canceled every other birthday with her 27th festivities, aptly styled after the 2019 horror-drama Midsommar. In other words, flower crowns ruled the day.

"My friends and I went with a midsommar theme because help me," she captioned a series of photos featuring herself in a flower crown. (I beg that every reader swipe through the whole Instagram post to witness the totally realistic rendering of Grande if she had been a character in Midsommar.)

Florence Pugh, who starred in the iconic movie, commented with her approval, simply writing, "!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Besides flower crowns, Grande went all out with a flower-adorned robe.

Friends and family also wore their own flower crowns. In another Instagram post, Grande included flicks of her brother and mom, Frankie and Joan Grande, posing in their own Midsommar-themed ensembles. She also included some PDA-filled photos featuring her boyfriend, Dalton Gomez.

Her birthday dinner table was also decorated accordingly, with colorful floral centerpieces, white and gold candles, and a white tablecloth.

Grande has stayed busy during quarantine. Most recently, the singer collaborated with Lady Gaga on "Rain on Me," an upbeat dance track that appears on Gaga's Chromatica. Grande also worked with Justin Bieber to produce another track, "Stuck with U," which debuted at the top of Billboard's Hot 100 chart.
