Ariana Grande Cancels New Year's Eve Weekend Concert in Las Vegas

Fans who were scheduled to see Ariana Grande’s December 29 concert in Las Vegas will have to take a rain check on seeing the “Imagine” singer live.

In an Instagram Story on Friday, December 28, Ari announced that she won't be able to perform the upcoming show at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. “I’m currently working through some health issues, and am beyond sorry I won’t be able to see u this weekend,” Ariana wrote. “I love u and so look forward to seeing u and making it up to u next year.”

The concert venue also confirmed the cancellation to E! News, writing in a statement: “Due to unforeseeable health reasons, Ariana Grande has cancelled her show at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on Saturday, Dec. 29. Guests are able to receive a full refund on tickets through their specified point of purchase.” As noted by E!, no information regarding a reschedule date is currently available.

In the wake of Ariana’s announcement, fans took to social media to wish the singer well. “I hope she’s OK,” one fan wrote on Twitter, while another said: “We love you Ariana, please take care.”

It’s important to remember that we all need to put our health first sometimes, and that includes huge celebrities like Ariana. Other singers, like Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, and Lady Gaga, have also cancelled or postponed performances in recent years in order to prioritize their health, and it serves as a good reminder for the rest of us to do the same. We hope Ariana feels better soon.
