Ariana Grande's new wax figure is unrecognizable, and her reaction is priceless
Nothing brings the internet together quite like a new celebrity wax figure. Sometimes, wax figures look a lot like their inspiration: the Prince Harry and Meghan Markle statues are actually scarily accurate, for example. But usually, they have us asking, Wait, that’s supposed to be WHO? We’re still thinking about this Daenerys Targaryen wax figure that looks nothing like the Mother of Dragons. And remembering when the internet had a full tantrum over this iffy Lady Gaga wax figure. The latest celeb to get the Madame Tussauds treatment? Ariana Grande. But Twitter is not impressed with the results—and Ari herself even weighed in, too.
As wax figures go, this one really isn’t that bad. Let’s start with the positives: the outfit, accessories, and tattoos are spot-on, and that’s definitely her high ponytail. But there’s just something about her face that doesn’t look like Grande. Is it just us, or does she look sort of like a 2013-era Kylie Jenner? Also, not to be picky, but one of the candy hearts behind the statue reads “THANK YOU, NEXT” when every Ari stan knows it should say “THANK U, NEXT.” We digress.
Here’s Grande’s brand-new wax figure. Thoughts?
Twitter had a lot to say about it.
So many references of her nose like how do they mess up? Djdhdbd it was the right shape just too big lol pic.twitter.com/yHIO7MxTQh

But the best reaction? Ari’s own.
“i just wanna talk,” she commented on the Madame Tussauds Instagram pic. LOL. That’s basically code for “here’s what I would have done differently.”

Like we said, the wax figure isn’t THAT bad. But it looks like Ariana said “Thank U, Next” to this one. If you want to see the figure for yourself, it’s currently on display at Madame Tussauds in London.
