How to Get Ariana Grande's Sweetener Album Beauty Look

Over the past week, Ariana Grande has been slowly revealing snippets of the cover art for her forthcoming album, Sweetener, on a dedicated Instagram account. And as of yesterday, the puzzle pieces have finally come together to reveal the complete image, a closeup shot of Ari herself.

Celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton revealed in a June 18 Instagram post that he was behind the platinum hair and (gasp) low ponytail that graces the album cover. "Blondie @arianagrande 💎 Love this glam #chrisappletonhair @patrickta," he captioned the post.Judging by the comments, fans are clearly living for Ariana's platinum: "YOU DID THAT. KING. WE STAN," one user wrote. Another added, "HER BEST ALBUM COVER!!!!!!!"

Ariana's longtime makeup artist, Patrick Ta, who has also worked with Gigi Hadid, Rihanna, and Shay Mitchell, echoed the album's saccharine title with a makeup look that consisted of baby pink eyeshadow, a glossy lip, and a touch of rosy blush.(You can use an all-in-one product like Urban Decay's Backtalk Eye & Face Palette for a variety of rosy shades, and a lengthening mascara like Maybelline’s Define-A-Lash Lengthening Mascara to recreate the tonal makeup yourself.)

But the blonde hair didn’t last long; as evidenced by Ari's Instagram Stories, her hair is already back to brunette. The quick transformation makes sense, though, as platinum hair requires a ton of maintenance. "This is not only one of the biggest transformations your hair will undergo, it’s also one of the most compromising," Chris told Vogue in September 2017. "Do not try this at home. If you’re not going to be patient with the process and committed to looking after your hair, then it’s not for you."
