Ariana Grande's Newest Song Is a "Legally Blonde" Tribute

The hits just keep on coming.

It's been nearly two weeks since Ariana Grande's "Thank U, Next" video forever changed our lives. We're still trying to catch every reference we might have missed, and the pop star/temporary teen movie star, continues to reveal a number of secrets from filming. Fans may have uncovered more than one future Ariana song hiding in the video, but the singer went ahead and shared another new song.

For part three in her"Thank U, Next" behind the scenes series, Ariana performed a short song that she wrote in honor of Elle Woods. In the snippet — which begins around the 1:36 mark — the Dangerous Woman performer sings an original track about our fave Legally Blonde character.

"One time, there was a girl named Elle Woods," she begins. "She went to school at Harvard to get a boy back. Then she realized she didn't want him back, and it was just all that she needed was herself." She continues, singing, "But she also kind of fell in love with that other student. I don't remember his name. And then, thank you, next." She finishes the song with a twirl, her friends filming and laughing along.

Fans will have to wait and see whether Ari's Elle Woods tribute ends up on any of her forthcoming albums, but some on Twitter have already expressed their appreciation of the moment. "Ariana singing the recap to legally blonde is me recapping any movie ever," one fan tweeted.

If the latest sneak peek has you ready to watch the video an additional 500 times, Ariana did share some good news with fans. At the conclusion of this new BTS, she shared that a director's cut of the video and a blooper reel are coming next. Thank you, Ariana, we're ready.
