The Arcane Season 2 First Look Trailer Is Such A Tease

Riot Games released a first look Arcane Season 2 trailer, and in just 44 seconds, it raises half a dozen questions and teases a fan-favorite LegendThere’s still no firm release date, though Riot said elsewhere in the League of Legends Season 2024 overview that the Netflix anime's second season should air sometime in November 2024.

The new Arcane trailer shows Singed, the inventor of Shimmer and an antagonist of sorts from the first season, strapped to a chair and undergoing what looks like a blood transfusion. That’s pretty standard stuff for him, but things take a more interesting turn in the last few seconds.

The camera pans to Singed’s hands, where we see him closing and rubbing a pocket watch. Then, the perspective zooms out and reveals a hulking, indistinguishable creature – indistinguishable save for one telling feature: a giant, green cylinder on its back.

While it’s impossible to make out any kind of lupine shape, that cylinder convinced most fans that this beast is Warwick, an alchemy-infused wolf monster in League of Legends whose purpose in life is tracking down and eliminating unsavory elements in Zaun’s dark alleys. Zaun has plenty of those and no shortage of unsavory elements in Arcane, so If Arcane Season 2 does focus on him, there’s quite a bit of narrative potential.

Some fans claimed they saw a Rammus tease in the trailer as well. We’re not sure if they’re joking, but since Riot is giving Rammus a new skin in Season 2024, it’s always a possibility that he’ll turn up in Arcane as well.
