April Showers Deliver Fresh Powder To Lake Louise, Alberta

Lake Louise Ski Resort, Alberta, is still hanging on to winter with a nice overnight powder refresh.

The resort received about three inches overnight and 16 inches in the past week, solidifying its base. So far this season, Lake Louise has picked up 209 inches of snow, about 30 more inches than usual.

Lake Louise has roughly a month of skiing left. Weather and conditions permitting, it plans to keep its lifts spinning until May 5th.

The resort is joined by its Ski Big 3 compatriots—the other two ski areas in the Banff, Alberta, area—which also plan to keep the ski season going longer. Mt. Norquay will remain open until an undecided April date, while Sunshine Village intends to operate into late May.

At Lake Louise, light snowfall and clouds are expected today. The clouds and flurries should persist through the weekend.

To keep the spring vibes up, the resort is hosting an ongoing DJ series with concerts at its Banded Peak Base Camp. Check the schedule out right here.
