Apple Valley Animal Services to offer low-cost pet vaccination clinic Thursday

Animal care officials in Apple Valley are planning a low-cost pet vaccination clinic on Thursday.

The event will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Apple Valley Animal Shelter, 22131 Powhatan Road, organizers said.

Discounted vaccines for rabies and other diseases will be on hand, as well as reduced-price microchipping services and same-day license renewal for San Bernardino County residents, Apple Valley Animal Services officials said in a written statement.

Only cash will be accepted at the event.

Rabies vaccines will cost $14. Other vaccines will be offered as available, such as Bordetella, DA2PP and feline distemper vaccines for $20, as well as leukemia vaccines will cost $30.

Permanent microchip services will offered for $20.

Additional clinics are planned on June 6, July 11, Aug. 1, Sept. 5 and Dec. 5.
