Amazon's October Prime Big Deal Days event is over but there are still discounts on a range of Apple tech.

See below for all of the best Apple deals that are still available to grab if you're quick. We have not only been watching Amazon, but also the likes of Best Buy, B&H Photo and Walmart, so if the Amazon sale price is beaten somewhere else, you can be sure that we'll let you know. Below we've provided direct links to the best Apple deals wherever they are this Prime Day. Below that, you'll find more detailed analysis of the best Apple deals with price comparisons. Further down still, we were providing live updates and more details on Apple Prime Day deals.

Apple Black Friday deals in November could beat some of these offers, but many of the discounts available are about as big as Apple deals tend to get. And while some of the offers may require you to sign up to Amazon Prime for a 30-day free trial, the vast majority do not require Prime membership.

MacBook Air (M1, 2020, 256GB): $899 $749.99 at Amazon
Save $149: Although Amazon states the discount as from the original 2020 retail price of $999, that's a little misleading. The amazing MacBook Air (M1) has been on sale for around $899 for a while now. All the same, it's never been cheaper than $749 so this is still an excellent deal.

There are already some deals available on the 5th Generation iPad Air (the latest iPad available at the moment, which was released in 2022). Our favourite is the 256GB version with WiFi, which is available for $649 down from $749.

This is the lowest price we've ever seen this iPad, so we reckon it's worth jumping on this deal now before it sells out. It's available in various colours, too.

If you're after the AirPods Max then there's a decent discount available right now in both the US and the UK. You can get $50/£50 off the cans, taking the price down to $499/£499.

For context, the lowest we've ever seen these headphones is $429 in August 2022 and £399.99 in Sept 2021, so it may be worth holding on until Prime Day starts properly to see if the price drops any further.

MacBook Air 2020
MacBook Air 2020

All-time low price alert! This 2020 MacBook Air with the M1 chip is currently $749 at Amazon. That's 25 per cent off the retail price, although we should note that this laptop has been lurking around the $899 mark for a while now. Either way, this is still a great price for an excellent machine.

You might not expect to see any deals on Apple's latest products, but luckily, you'd be wrong. There are actually already some deals popping up on the latest MacBooks in the UK.

Our favourite deal is a whopping £500 off the MacBook Pro (2023) 16-inch. It now costs £2,199.97, down from £2,699, that's an 18% saving. And it's not even Prime Day yet! Happy days.

We've been keeping an eye (or a watch, you might say) on the Apple Watch prices. The best we've seen in the US is $80 off the Watch 8 Starlight Aluminium Case with Starlight Sports Band. It now costs $310.03.

The lowest we've ever seen this Watch drop to is $279, just a couple of weeks ago, so this is definitely one to keep an eye on (or watch, sorry) over the coming days.

There are even a couple of discounts on the very latest Apple Watch Series 9, which was released just last month. You can save 9% when you get a Silver Aluminium Case with Winter Blue Sport Loop, so the Watch now costs $419.99.

Morning from the UK. And so Prime Day 2/Big Deals Day/Prime in October/whatever you want to call it begins! And how are things looking from an Apple deals-hunting point of view? ... not too bad.

Looking at the main deals that we highlighted yesterday (into the night in the UK, and the evening in the US), I can see that there have been a few dollars chopped off some iPads, AirPods 2 and AirPods Pro 2. I've detailed what exactly has been reduced below, but if you're looking for a killer deal on a MacBook, so far Prime Day 2 is not offering anything (we'll be the first to report on when a meaningful deal arrises).

Prime Day 2 deals this morning:

- iPad (10th Gen, 256GB): Retail $599; yesterday $564; today $549 at Amazon

- iPad (9th Gen): Retail $329; yesterday $269.99; today $249 at Amazon

- AirPods Pro 2: Retail $249; yesterday $199; today $189 at Amazon

- AirPods 2: Retail $129; yesterday $99; today $89 at Amazon

More to come...

I'll be updating these deals above in a minute, but for now, these Apple Watch deals just came in – all from Amazon, and all worth a look.

- Apple Watch SE (GPS 44mm): $279 $229 at Amazon

- Apple Watch 8 (GPS 41mm): $399 $339.99 at Amazon

- Apple Watch 8 (GPS + Cellular, 41mm): $499 $399 at Amazon

-  Apple Watch 8 (GPS + Cellular, 45mm, Graphite Milanese Loop): $799 $599 at Amazon

We compare the MacBook Air M1 with the M2.
We compare the MacBook Air M1 with the M2.

Two MacBook deals have cropped up, both worth a look, both aimed at roughly the same user, with their 8GB RAM, and 256G SSD... but which is the best deal for you?

- MacBook Air (M1, 2020): $999 $749 at Amazon.

- MacBook Air (M2, 2022): $1,099 $899 at Best Buy.

We're big fans of the 2020 MacBook Air, with its M1 chip. In fact, I own one, and for my work (photo editing, writing, streaming films, etc), it's perfect. The M1 was a giant leap from the Intel cores of old.

And some of the Creative Bloq team have the M2 Air. They also find it to be great, but certainly not the same leap from the previous iteration...

Bottom line: the 2020 model is looking pretty good to us in 2023 with the above discount.

Unfortunately the deal we reported on earlier on AirPods Max – down to $479.99 from $549 is now sold out! The best I can see them for now is $499.99 at Best Buy. I think that's still a decent price.

My favourite deal of the day (sorry deal of the Big Deals Days) is this MacBook Air. It's the 2020 model, and it's the one I use for my everyday work. This MacBook with an M1 chip has everything I need for my daily tasks, and unless you're a super-power-hungry user, it'll probably be great for you too. The only thing you may want to check you're happy with is the RAM, as this version has just 8GB.

Did we mention that you can save $100 right now on the iPad mini? If it I didn't already have a Pro then I'd be going for this deal. This model comes with 64GB storage, an 8.3-inch screen and it's under $400! This is a great little tablet for travelling and working on the go. If you need lots of power/storage though, I'd go for the Air or the Pro.

The second generation AirPods are loved by many. In our review we gave them 3.5 stars and said that some users will love them, though others may want to look elsewhere.

If you know the AirPods are for you and you don't want to splash out on newer, more expensive versions, then today's a good day to click 'add to basket', as these earbuds are currently down to $89. They retail at $129 although we often see them lurking around the $99 mark. The lowest we've ever seen them was $79 over Black Friday last year. So you're $10 off getting the best deal ever on these earbuds.

Not all Prime Day deals are to be had at Amazon, and I've made sure to look at other options when gathering the best deals for this page.

If it's the Apple Watch Series 8 you're after (it's a solid choice), then Best Buy has an offer for you. It's $379 down from $529, so a really decent $150 saving, although the price hasn't been as high as $529 for a while.

If you don't mind not having the latest Apple Watch, then the first generation SE is available right now for $129 at Walmart. That's a huge $200 off!

We gave this Watch 5 stars when it first came out. Sure, it's a little dated now. But do you really need all the extra fancy features of newer watches? If you just want something to connect to your devices and track your fitness, you can't go wrong here.

Apple Watch SE (1st gen): $329 $129 at Walmart

We've been blogging for over 24 hours now and I will admit the deals are all starting to blur into one. The standouts for me are still the iPad mini at $399.99 and the MacBook Air 2020. They're not the newest pieces of kit but they are still brilliant. Both are available now at Amazon.

iPad mini: $499 $399 at Amazon

MacBook Air (2020): $999 $749 at Amazon

There are some record low prices about on MacBooks among the Apple Prime Day deals that we've seen so far, but none of them is actually a Prime Day deal specifically. It's an especially good time to buy a MacBook Air, whether you want the latest large-format 15-inch laptop, last year's 13-incher or the super value 2021 M1 13-inch device.

None of these is a Prime Day Apple deal - one of the deals isn't even at Amazon, and the three that are are open to everyone and have been running for a few days. But they're all record low prices (although it's not the first time that we've seen the 2021 MacBook air reduced to this price).

The deals on the MacBook Air 15 are particularly good considering that it was only released in June - and there are discounts across a range of configurations with $250 off the higher 16GB RAM options.

Apple AirPods Pro 2 deal
Apple AirPods Pro 2 deal

Other record low prices out there for the taking among the best Prime Day Apple deals include $60 of the AirPods Pro 2. We've regularly seen Apple's latest earbuds reduced from the recommended price of $249 to around $200, and they were once reduced to $190 during Black Friday last year, but Amazon's current price of $189 is the lowest on record for the improved version of these fantastic noise-cancelling earbuds, which we gave a almost perfect score in our review.

iPad 9-th gen 256GB deal
iPad 9-th gen 256GB deal

As for iPads, the classic entry-level 9th-gen iPad from 2021 is back down to its record low price of $249. This is an old tablet, and Amazon regularly has it on offer, but we've only seen it this cheap on two occasions - in late March and then in July (during Prime Day, as it happens). It might be old, but this is all the tablet you need if you're looking for a device for browsing, streaming and the odd bit of work and email checking on the go.

Apple Watch Ultra 2 deal
Apple Watch Ultra 2 deal

Here's a nice little surprise coming towards the end of the first of Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days. The Apple Watch Ultra 2 was released just over two weeks ago, and Amazon already has a discount. OK, so $50 off is a relatively small saving for a watch that starts at $799, but we didn't see any deals on last year's Apple Watch Ultra 1 until Black Friday, when it was reduced by $60.

Discounts on the Ultra don't tend to get any better than that. During Amazon's July Prime Day the Ultra 1 was only reduced by $20

Apple Airtag

We've mainly been looking at big value products. Those are the exciting products where we want to make a saving when we're buying Apple because they mean a big investment. But Prime Day Apple deals can be a decent opportunity to buy those little accessories you've been putting off buying too.

Things like battery packs and power adapters aren't exciting purchases, and the savings aren't big in dollar terms. But they can save a decent percentage on a product price if you want to opt for an official apple product. Here are a few of the savings we're seeing on those little accessories.

A product shot of the apple magic mouse on a colourful background
A product shot of the apple magic mouse on a colourful background

Here are some more. We don't exactly recommend the Apple Magic Mouse as the best mouse for MacBooks, mainly because of the annoying placement of its charging port. But if you can live with that, there is $10 off right now. There's also $33 off the Apple Magic Keyboard.

Apple Studio Display deal
Apple Studio Display deal

I think that by this point we've probably seen all of the Apple Prime Day deals. That we're going to see today, and perhaps even for the whole of the Amazon Prime Big Deal Days event since Amazon doesn't tend to drop new deals on the second day of its Prime Days (which have spanned over two days since back in 2017).

The good news is that there's at least some form of discount on just about every Apple product with the exception of the colossally priced Pro Display XDR, which doesn't have even a small discount on its staggering $5,999 price tag.

If you are looking for a monitor though, it's worth considering Apple's more reasonably priced Studio Display. It's not the best monitor in the world, but it boasts a lovely 5K display and an integrated webcam. There's currently $200 off if you check the box to apply a coupon at checkout. It's not the cheapest price we've seen (that was $1,349.99 for a couple of weeks in April), but it's not far off.

Apple Watch SE deal
Apple Watch SE deal

Actually, there's another exception to the list of products that have Apple Prime Day deals. The Apple Watch Series 9. That might be expected since it was only released two weeks ago, but there was actually a small deal going earlier on, when it was reduced to $419, but that's now gone. The Watch 9 is still in stock, but not at full price. Amazon often sets quantities that it's prepared to sell at deal prices, so I assume the quota of deal stock has gone.

However, it will be interesting to check again tomorrow. Last year during Prime Day 2, there were Apple Watch Series 8 deals that sold out on the first day but were back in stock on the second. I can't promise that this will happen again, but it seemed then that Amazon had assigned separate deal stock for the two days.

At the moment, the Apple Watch deals to consider are on the 2nd-gen Apple Watch SE if you want a nice value smartwatch, or on the Ultra 2 if you want a heavy-duty beast with all manner of metrics on board.

MacBook deal
MacBook deal

If you're looking for a MacBook during this Prime Day 2 2023, you might be struggling to choose which one to go for because there are decent discounts on several MacBook Pros and Airs. I'd think first about the power you need and then size and portability.

If you need a MacBook Pro, you probably already know it. Anyone editing high-resolution video or 3D graphics is going to want the super graphics performance of a Pro. If you don't, then you probably don't need it, and you're go for an Air, which will generally be slightly cheaper.

An Air doesn't have to mean a smaller 13-inch screen anymore since Apple released the 15-inch MacBook Air in June. Surprisingly there are some decent deals on that newest MacBook as I mentioned below. But anyone who wants a solid dependable laptop for general productivity at a great value price might want to consider the classic M1 MacBook Air from 2020. It may be getting on, but it's still plenty of laptop for most people's needs (we gave it a rare five-star review).

MacBook Pro deal
MacBook Pro deal

As for MacBook Pros, you might be torn between going for one of this year's laptops or going for a 2021 M1 Pro model for a bigger saving. In this case you might want to consider what configuration you're want to go for, particularly in terms of SSD capacity, since this is going to influence the size of the saving you could make by going for one of the slightly older laptops.

The starting configuration of the 2023 M2 Pro MacBook Pro 16 has $250 off at Amazon right now (make sure you apply the voucher). That's with a 512GB SSD. The only reason I'd consider a 2021 model is if I had my heart set on a 1TB SSD. For that B&H Photo has the M1 Pro MacBook Pro 16 reduced by $750 to $1,949. There are no deals about on the 1TB configuration from this year, at costs $2,699 from Apple.

I'm taking a break from the blog for this evening, but I'll be back early tomorrow to see how things stand. I don't expect to see new Apple Prime Day deals tomorrow – the deals listed above are probably the best we're going to see – but I'll be providing regular updates to keep you posted on the best Apple prices around.

All four of the 10th Gen iPads.
All four of the 10th Gen iPads.

Morning from the UK. We worked into the night to keep bringing you the best Apple deals this Prime Big Deal Days event, and there have been some solid bargains – better than expected (to be honest).

And it's not just been on the more expensive products. Take the classic iPad – you can currently get savings on the last two generations, the 9th and the 10th Gen iPad. I say this as, although we gave them both glowing four star reviews, I think for the current price, the 9th Gen is an absolute steal right now. Here are the details:

- iPad (9 Gen, A13 Bionic chip, 10.2-inch, 64GB): $329 $249 at Amazon

- iPad (10 Gen, A14 Bionic chip, 10.9-inch, 64G): $449 $399 at Amazon

Honestly, I think for what an iPad is meant for – streaming, browsing, video calls, note taking, etc – the 9th Gen iPad is a bargain right now. But you only get two (dark grey) colours with it.

I've been looking at replacing my old Apple AirPods for a while now but you needn't buy Apple for a good pair of earbuds. Right now you can get the Beats Flex Wireless Earphones for £69.99 £49.99 at Amazon, that's a 29% saving on a swish set of colourful earphones.

Beats are a great brand, but these also make use of the Apple W1 Headphone Chip for clear sound quality and feature everything you need, including a built-in microphone and 12 hours of listening time.

Finally, I've found an iPhone deal this Amazon Prime 2 Big Deals Day! Right now at John Lewis you save £65 on an iPhone 14 in a range of colours. This means you can get an iPhone for £764 £699 and select from Blue, Midnight, Yellow, Purple, Red or Starlight.

This is Apple's best-selling from 2022 but don't be put off by buying last year's model, in our iPhone 14 review we said this model is "a reliably good experience, with ample power, and a capable camera system".

No, it's not the most recent Apple Watch like the 9. And no, you can't take it to the bottom of the sea like you can with the Ultra. But as far as value for money, the most recent Apple Watch SE wins for me. I love it, as it does everything that I want from a smartwatch, and no more (which means I don't have to pay for features I don't use).

Prime Day iPad deals
Prime Day iPad deals

Looking for a iPad deal this Prime Day. There are still plenty to choose from, with discounts on most current iPad models. Let's start with the entry's level options. If you're looking for a basic tablet for browsing, email and streaming, the standard 9th or 10th generation iPad should do you just fine, and they're both available at great prices (and although it's Amazon Prime Big Deal days, these deals are open to non-Prime members.

The 2021 9th gen iPad is at a record low price of $249 – a price that we've only seen twice before. Last year's 10th gen model isn't at its lowest price on record, but it is a better saving than usual. Struggling to decide which to get? They both offer Apple Pencil 1 support for note taking and sketching. The 10th gen device comes in a range of pastel colours, has a slightly larger display and does offer more power. If you're only going to be browsing online and streaming films and series, go for the super cheap iPad 9. If you're planning to do a little bit of work, drawing or light image editing, I'd go for the iPad 10.

In both cases, there are discounts on both the 64GB and 256GB, wifi and wifi + cellular configurations.

And if you need more power? The savings on the iPad Pro are quite limited, with a measly $50 off the entry-level configuration. But unless you're doing very graphically demanding tasks like video editing at the more professional end of the scale, a Pro may be more than you need.

The 2022 M1-chipped iPad Air is more Pro-like than ever (we gave it 4.5 stars in our review), and it's seeing more generous Apple deals, with $100 off both the 64GB and 256GB configurations with both Wifi and WiFi + cellular connectivity.

Not every configuration is available in all colours, so I'd recommend playing around with the configuration and colour options to find the one the best option for your taste and needs if you're going to go for this tablet.

But let's not forget the oft neglected iPad mini. I'm not sure what Apple's thoughts are on the mini at the moment. It dropped the iPhone mini last year with the iPhone 14 launch, when it introduced the iPhone Plus instead. I'm a little concerned that the iPad mini could face the same fate - the latest 6th gen model was released in September 2021, so it would normally be due an update by now.

Apple tends to update its iPad models at least every other year, although the mini has been a bit more erratic, with a four-year gap between the 3rd and 4th gen model. Either way, I think the mini remains a fantastic value option for people who want a tablet to use on the go for drawing and light creative work. At 8.3in, it's more compact than any of the other iPad models but it's also more powerful than the standard iPad.

Best of all, it currently has $100 off. These aren't exactly exclusive Prime Big Deal Days deals because we've seen them plenty of times before. In fact, Amazon's been offering these prices on and off throughout the past 12 months, but we only saw the iPad mini any cheaper on one occasion, which was on Prime Day in July, when it was reduced to $379.99 for the starting configuration.

We've been focusing mainly on US Prime Day Apple deals on our blog, and that's where the biggest discounts are. But as we start to approach the end of Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days, I should point out for our UK readers there are also some iPad deals to be had at amazon.co.uk.

In most cases, the savings aren't as big in the US, which tends to be the case, but there are small discounts on most iPads, and quite a decent discount on the iPad Pro. Here are the best UK Prime Day iPad deals:

there are UK MacBook deals to be had this October Prime Day too. There are savings on both MacBooks Airs and Pros, with particularly good deals on this year's M2 Pro laptops (pictured above), both the 14 and 16-inch.

Apple Watch Prime Day deal

None of those UK Apple Prime Day deals below is a Prime exclusive, so they're open to everyone. In fact, almost all of the Amazon Apple deals that we've listed above are open to all as far as we can tell. Strangely, Amazon is showing 'Prime Big Deal' labels on the Apple Watch SE and a couple of other Apple products in search results, but when we click through the product pages, the deal price is available without a Prime membership. Curious. Check it our for yourself below to see if you get the same result.

Here's another similar anomaly. Amazon's flagging this record low price on the fantastic Apple AirPods Pro 2 as a Prime Big Deal. That made me fear we had made a mistake, but clicking through reveals that it isn't a Prime-exclusive deal - it's available to non Prime members too.

This is strange because until now Amazon has always used 'Prime deal' labels only for discounts that are available for members only. What this label might mean, then, is that this is specifically a Prime Day-only deal that will end at midnight, rather than a general saving that may remain. That suggests you might want to be quick if you want to grab the latest AirPods Pro at the cheapest they've ever been.

Surface Pro 9 deal
Surface Pro 9 deal

Although there are some Prime Day Apple deals on a decent range of iPads, the iPad Pro deals are really rather poor. That's especially true in the US, where there's just $50 off the starting configuration of the iPad Pro 12.9 and $100 off a couple of higher-spec configurations. That's the kind of saving we see on the Pros all year round.

With that in mind, if I were looking for a deal on a powerful high-end tablet during this October Prime Day event, I would very much considering the iPad's rival, the Surface Pro 9. The deals there are much more generous, with $300 off the 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD i7 Surface Pro 9 , reduced from $1,899.99 to $1,599.99 and a massive $800.99 off the 32GB RAM, 1TB configuration now $2,599.99 $1,799.00.

Amazon isn't the only retailer running Apple deals today. It might be the only retailer to have a super catchy name for its sale in the form of 'Prime Big Deal Days', but Best Buy is trying to give it a run for its money with it's own more prosaic 'Flash Sale' which also ends today.

Comparing its prices to Amazon, in most cases Amazon either wins or it's a draw. One notable exception is the latest 13-inch MacBook Air. Not this year's 15-inch device, which is at a record low price on Amazon, but the 2022 M2 MacBook Air 13, which is a fantastic device for content creators looking for a laptop that's comfortable to work with on the go. Amazon only has renewed models in stock, which is strange for a laptop that's less than 18 months old, but Best Buy has a great deal that reduces the price of entry-level configuration by $200 to just $899.

Analysing that deal further, I notice that the price is just $50 more than what Amazon has for a renewed model. Personally, I wouldn't hesitate to pay an extra $50 for the new product from Best Buy, even if Amazon does stress that it's renewed example is in 'excellent condition'. The peace of mind offered by a brand-new unboxed device is well worth $50 when we're talking about quite a high-end laptop. you also have the full choice of colours.

I notice that Best Buy also has $200 off the higher-spec M2 10-core 512GB configuration, which is reduced from $1,399 to $1,099.

MacBook Air M1 vs MacBook Air M2
MacBook Air M1 vs MacBook Air M2

Best Buy gatecrashing Amazon's Prime Big Deals Days with this deal might provide a conundrum for anyone considering a MacBook Air. Do you go for the 2021 M1 laptop for $749.99 (Best Buy is actually matching Amazon's price on this) or the 2022 M2 Air for $899? (assuming you're happy with 256GB of storage)

Well, I'd bear in mind that the chip isn't the only difference here, although it is an importance difference since the M2 chip does provide better performance. But aside from the chip, the M2 2022 MacBook air 13 also has a slightly larger and slightly brighter screen (13.6in and 500 nits vs 13.3 and 400) and battery power is also very slightly superior. On top of that there's the unavoidable psychological factor: it's hard not to feel that even if you don't need particularly good performance today, a 2022 MacBook is going to be more futureprooed than a 2020 model.

With all that in mind, personally I would go for the 2022 M2 model. I think the difference would have to be more than $150 to convince me to go for the 2020 M1.

The internet seems to be asking when Prime Day 2 will end. Well, I can tell you. In the US, Amazon Prime Big Deals Days ends at 3am EDT. In the UK, however, it ends at midnight.

That means that those in the UK have just over one hour left to take advantage of any of the Prime Day Apple deals out there. At this stage, I can conclusively say that our pick of the best UK Apple deals for the entire event is the MacBook Pro 16 (M2 Pro, 2023, 1TB) reduced by 11% from £2,899 to £2,579,98 at Amazon (pictured). That's closely followed by 10% off the 14-inch MacBook Pro and 10% off the 2023 15-inch MacBook air. See our full pick of the best UK deals below, and hurry!

Back to the US, there's still close to nine hours left to take advantage of the best Apple Prime Big Deals Day deals. The sale officially ends at midnight PDT / 3am EDT.

The 9th gen iPad at joint historic low price of $249 at Amazon remains one of the best lower value bargains. It's also available with Apple Care+ for 2 years for $303.

If you're looking for a stylus for that iPad, there are savings on Apple Pencil 2 and the Logitech Crayon, both of which are compatible. The Logitech Crayon is the one non-Apple stylus that Apple itself recommends.

Prime Day 2 is almost over, sure, but there are plenty of deals still around. Remember, we've got the best deals listed above so make sure you take a look. We've trawled price history, used our knowledge and expertise (including personal experience with products) to choose the deals worth your time.

Prime Day 2, Prime in October, or Prime Big Deal Days – the two-day retail event is over! Did you get the deal you were looking for? We certainly saw a few cracking Apple deals.

And, as many of them did not require you to have a Prime membership, many of the deals are still live. But most have slightly been reduced – so the M1 MacBook Air was $749, but is now $899. Not half as good!

So we've updated the very top of this page, but in our honest opinion, if you're still looking for a great deal on, say, a MacBook, and you can wait a month, we'd suggest you hold out for Black Friday this November. We'll be bringing you all the best MacBook Black Friday deals.

Until then, good luck and happy hunting!
