To show residents of the contiguous United States just how outrageous Alaska prices are. a TikTok user named Suzi decided to record her trip to the grocery store. In the video, which has more than 259,000 likes, Suzi peruses everything from cleaning products... to the produce aisle, highlighting crazy prices as she goes. For a 32-load bottle of Tide that costs $6.89 on Target’s website, Suzi would have to pay $19.29. A six-pack of generic toilet paper costs $12.19. A 12-ounce bag of Starbucks coffee beans is just under $15. And if you want some Clorox bleach, that’ll be $30. Many fellow Alaskans noted that though this is the norm in rural, isolated villages. bigger cities like Anchorage are much more affordable
