So, Apparently the Queen Confronted Meghan Markle Over Eggs on Her Wedding Menu

From Cosmopolitan

  • The Queen reportedly had words with Meghan Markle after witnessing her get upset with royal staff over her wedding menu.

  • Meghan was reportedly convinced she could taste eggs in a macrobiotic dish that wasn't supposed to have any.

A new, vaguely dramatic and super weird report has come out of Windsor Palace, and it has nothing to do with the royal baby. It is, instead, about EGGS. Well, sorta. Royal expert and author Katie Nicholl just revealed that the Queen had to low-key confront Meghan Markle about getting upset with staff over her wedding menu. Specifically a dish on her menu that was supposed to be an egg-free macrobiotic alternative, which Meghan was reportedly convinced had eggs.

I know. I'll give you a moment.

"It was the run-up to the royal wedding and Meghan had gone to Windsor Castle to taste some of the food that was going to be served at the reception," Nicholl explained on Yahoo's Royal Box. "Now, she'd insisted on their being a macrobiotic alternative, I would suppose there being that many Hollywood stars you would expect that to be the case. [Meghan] got very upset when she felt that she could taste egg in a dish when she was told there was no egg in there, and she said, 'No, I can taste it, I can taste there's egg in this dish.'"

Wow, I knew eggs would have another moment after beating Kylie Jenner's Instagram record, I just never eggspected it to happen so soon, you know? Ha. Ha. Ha.

Anyway, this is where the Queen comes in: "I think there was a bit of an upset when suddenly the Queen walked in, because of course, this was Windsor Castle, this is her home. And she just quietly took Meghan to the side and said, 'Meghan, in this family we don't speak to people like that.'"

Hmmm, can't imagine Meghan was anything but polite-but also, when you're planning a giant televised wedding and your dad just canceled walking you down the aisle, you're probably entitled to a couple mini meltdowns.
