Here's Why You Won't See Chrissy Teigen on Snapchat Anymore

This could mean another huge loss for Snapchat.

Snapchat has been in a bit of hot water lately thanks to a few posts from some very influential celebrities. Most recently, Chrissy Teigen has decided to quit the platform. The star, who has historically been very candid in her Snapchat stories will apparently have to take her relatable posts and antics elsewhere.

Teigen tweeted on Saturday that she stopped using Snapchat for a pretty practical reason: The latest update of the app made it difficult to navigate, and her fans were complaining about not being able to find her content. She's been open about her frustration with the app before and voiced her concerns on Twitter last month.

She also said that she quit the platform after it featured an incredibly insensitive ad for a game called Would You Rather, which asked users if they would would rather "Slap Rihanna" or "Punch Chris Brown."

"I stopped using snap. The update, the constant complaints of people not being able to find me, plus the Rihanna poll...no bueno," Teigen tweeted.

After the ad that references the domestic violence case between Rihanna and Brown earned negative feedback online, Snap Inc. apologized for the error, but Rihanna spoke up and called the company out on her Instagram story. She wrote, "Shame on you. Throw the whole app-oligy away." Shortly after, the company's stocks fell almost 4 percent, devaluing it by about $600 million.

A month ago, Kylie Jenner famously cost Snap Inc. major stock value when she tweeted about being over the app. The star, who used to announce all of her Kylie Cosmetics launches on Snapchat said, "sooo does anyone else not open Snapchat anymore? Or is it just me…. ugh this is so sad."

The stocks plummeted 7.2 percent, costing the company about $1.3 billion.

It's not clear what effect Teigen's tweet will have, but it will definitely be interesting to see how this plays out.
