Here's why people think Ariana Grande's upcoming song "NASA" is about Pete Davidson
On January 22nd, Ariana Grande announced the release date for her next album, Thank U, Next, and posted the track list to Instagram. Though we already knew a few songs on the list, like “Imagine” and “7 Rings,” one of the new ones is raising eyebrows among fans. Specifically, people are speculating that the track “NASA” is about Pete Davidson.
There’s no way to know for sure just yet, but E! News pointed out that the Saturday Night Live comedian wore a NASA shirt to the 2018 MTV VMAs. The event was Grande and Davidson’s first red carpet appearance as a couple, so there could be some sentimental meaning behind the shirt and the moment.
So far, we know that “Imagine” is about the denial phase of a breakup, “7 Rings” is a friendship anthem, and “Thank U, Next” is about appreciating past relationships. So it’s not crazy to think she might include a song about one specific person in her life. But again, this is all pure speculation until we actually hear the song.
Regardless, fans are excited.

I can’t believe that in 6 months Ariana Grande went from releasing “Pete Davidson” to releasing an entire break-up album. The range of emotions that girl has. I hope this is a green light for Pete to start adding more Grande material in his standup routines.
