Here's Why Some Ashley Graham Fans Are Upset About Her Campaign for Rag & Bone

Fans are confused about the size range.

Ashley Graham is one of the most famous models in the world, and certainly one the body-positivity movement's most well-known voices. The 30-year-old frequently appears in unretouched photoshoots and advocates for size diversity in fashion, both on and off the runway. However, her latest partnership is causing fans to ask a lot of questions about her dedication to the cause.

Graham appears in a campaign with Rag & Bone, alongside fellow models like Hailey Baldwin, Paris Jackson, and Bella Hadid for the brand's new campaign, The DIY Project. In the photographs, which were shot and directed by her husband, Justin Ervin, Graham wears a plain white T-shirt, jeans, and pink boots as well as a black tank top, black jeans with zippers, and white boots. While every item she models is currently available for purchase at Rag & Bone, all of the pieces are only available in straight sizes: the tops range from XXS to L and the jeans in sizes 23 to 32 (although the larger pant sizes are already sold out).

Fans quickly commented on both the brand's Instagram page and Graham's personal posts inquiring about the sizing. "[H]ow can @theashleygraham be the face of this campaign when you only carry up to a size 32 (12 us)? [sic] Is this what you're talking about when you talk about body positivity and inclusive fashion[?]" one person commented. "Gorgeous picture, but I am disappointed that you do not carry sizes bigger than a 32 for this fit. I love your brand and I was excited since Ashley Graham typically promotes inclusive sizing. I own a couple of your tops, but I am a hair too big to fit comfortably in your jeans," another said. For their part, Rag & Bone has been replying to each comment with a promise of more information via direct message.

A representative for the brand declared that Rag & Bone is working to include a broader range of sizes, beginning very soon. “We can confirm that rag & bone [sic] will be introducing a selection of best-selling denim and ready to wear [sic], in extended sizes from November. In addition, we have already started delivering a selection of denim with extended sizing through our partners at Nordstrom,” a rep told People. Graham has yet to comment specifically on questions of sizing for the campaign.
