New 'The View' Co-Host Has Been Announced

From Good Housekeeping

  • Ana Navarro will co-host The View every Friday.

  • She is a Republican, but has expressed opposition about Donald Trump.

  • Many fans on Twitter shared their excitement over her joining the show.

Ana Navarro announced she will be joining The Viewas a co-host every Friday, and people from both sides of the political spectrum are welcoming her with open arms.

"Some personal news ... stating today, I am happy to be joining the ladies around the table as a Friday Co-host on The View," she wrote on Twitter Friday.

"I am so happy @ananavarro is going to be on the view every Friday!" a user said. "She is such a strong independent women with fierce determination & passion. She is a great role model for women & girls! She is also feisty as hell."

Ana, a Republican strategist and political commentator for outlets like CNN and ABC News, will now be one of three conservatives on the ABC daytime talk show. She joins Meghan McCain and newcomer Abby Huntsman, who are also Republicans. Although the women share some right-winged perspectives, many people on Twitter were quick to point out why Ana brings something different to the table.

"I respect, love, enjoy, appreciate [Ana Navarro] and I am not a conservative," one viewer wrote. "Unlike @MeghanMcCain Anna thinks, listens, and respects opposing opinions without rolling her eyes, yelling in soprano or over talking her co-hosts."

"So happy to see my favorite conservative @ananavarro on #TheView," another said. "I won’t push the point but she should’ve gotten the chair Abby is sitting in."

Several others agreed.

Ana appeals to both political parties because unlike many Republicans, she has been very vocal about her opposition for Donald Trump. And while we're sure her views will cause some drama, fans of The View are clearly excited to hear more of her outspoken point of view.
