After taking a much-needed rest at home this morning from her pregnancy symptoms, Meghan Markle was up and at 'em, with an appropriate pair of shoes.

The Duchess of Sussex joined her husband, Prince Harry, at the Invictus Games sailing competition wearing comfy sneakers that coordinated with Harry's kicks. According to the Daily Mail, this is the first time Meghan has ever worn sneakers to a royal appearance, as she typically opts for elegant heels.

However, her choice in footwear for Sunday's event was a practical one, helping Meghan maintain her balance on the boat, which was out on the Sydney Harbor.

Markle paired the sustainable sports shoes by French brand Veja with black jeans and an official Invictus Foundation windbreaker — identical to Harry's.

She kept her accessories simple, sporting only her sparkling engagement ring, matching diamond earrings, and KREWE sunglasses.

Meghan's Veja sneakers are not only stylish, but they also send an eco-friendly message. The tops of the shoes are typically made from tilapia skin or curdled milk, which provides a leather-like material, according to Fast Company.

It seems as if the expectant mother-to-be is on a sustainability kick while in Sydney. Earlier this week, she also slipped on a pair of shoes constructed from recycled water bottles during a walk on the beach in Melbourne.

Maybe this is Meghan's version of a recycled wardrobe?
