Plastic surgeon Dr. Andrew Ordon says he would prefer to call the procedure "leg contouring." He explains that liposuction in the ankle area was previously not done, but is now possible. He says that lipo in the calf area can help create a "more athletic shape." For slimmer legs, he says would also address the upper thigh area as well. He notes that this technique should include curves and natural shapes, which is possible through advanced liposuction techniques.

Dr. Ordon explains that the procedure he described during the segment would cost approximately $10,000, would also usually include laser treatments and skin-tightening which would include additional fees.

The Doctors also share some suggestions for people looking for longer-appearing legs who do not want to go under the knife. Dermatologist Dr. Sonia Batra suggests these tips:

  • Wear a clear shoe or heel which help create a longer appearance by not breaking up your leg with a shoe

  • If you are wearing an ankle strap, Dr. Batra suggests a thin strap
