This summer has had no lack of its exciting food-related announcements: we had donut fries and nacho fries and breaking Oreo news and - well, I guess we've come full circle, as we are here to talk about the Rocky Road Trip Oreo.

Though Oreo dropped the limited edition flavor on July 23, reports of seeing it at Target and Walmart are just emerging now.

Said reports are pretty much raves. "They taste like a hybrid of last year’s Hot Cocoa Oreos and 2015’s Brownie Batter Oreos," @JunkBanter wrote. "The marshmallow flavor in the creme is truly that significant – effectively sweetening the creme – and the chocolate is darker and richer than the regular Chocolate Oreo."

Most are fixated on the "soy nut inclusions" mentioned prominently on the packaging. This seems to be a way to allow those who can't have nuts to still experience the texture of them. It's unclear how much the soy actually tastes like the almonds you'd find in Rocky Road, but people are into the texture.

This is all to say this flavor is still on shelves! We don't know how much longer that'll be the case though, so if you're going to take a rOcKy RoAd tRip at all this summer, may I suggest Target as your first stop?

I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. Goodbye.
