The Brits aren't the only royals with babies arriving in 2018. Crown Prince Alexander Karadjordjevic of Serbia, heir to the now defunct throne, shared on social media that he has a new grandson.

"I would like to announce with joy that the Royal Family just gained a new member! HRH Princess Danica, the wife of my son Prince Philip, gave birth to a son Stefan this morning at 10:30 am in Belgrade, Serbia," he wrote in a Facebook post in both English and in Serbian.

"The mother and the baby are doing well. Thank you all for your congratulations and warm wishes!"

This is the first child for Prince Philip and Princess Danica, who were married in October of 2017.

The birth of Stefan marks a significant milestone for this royal family. He is the first male heir born in Serbia to the family in 90 years. The family was exiled from their country during World War II, but returned to Serbia after 2000.

Crown Prince Alexander, who counts King George VI and then-Princess, now Queen Elizabeth as godparents, was born in Claridge’s Hotel in London in 1945. Per the family's website, at the time "the British Government under the orders of Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill declared suite 212 in Claridge’s Hotel Yugoslav territory."

Prince Philip was born in Fairfax, Virginia.
