My newest goal in life: owning a backyard firepit. Because I hardly ever camp. (And when I say hardly ever, I mean never.) I don't feel like I'm missing out on sleeping in a tent or getting attacked by wilderness mosquitos. No, it's really only a problem because of the fact that I love campfire foods. So. Much.

When you think about camping, your mind instantly goes to s'mores. But there is so much more you can cook over a fire. Skillet Beer Cheese Dip! Reese's Cones! PIZZA BREAD!

Another thing I hardly ever do: make pizza at home. It's too kneady (sorry!) and requires so much planning. Who has time for that? Grilled Pizza Bread is the exact opposite. You don't need to wait for the dough to rise or battle the dough to stretch it into the perfect round or really think at all. Cut a loaf in half, scoop out the insides (and eat said insides), top it with whatever the heck you want, and throw it on the fire.

Actually, you should wrap it in foil first. And, if you have a raised grill grate, you should put that over your fire too. That's really all the thinking and planning you need to do.
