Okay, okay. Very funny, everyone. It’s April 2nd and it’s snowing in New York City — again. This must be a late April Fools’ Day prank, right? Because there’s no way that after four nor’easters in March it could snow again. We thought that March was supposed to be “in like a lion and out like a lamb.” But nope, this is not an April Fools’ joke. It’s snowing for real in New York City — again. Maybe this is the April (snow) shower that’s going to bring May flowers. You might be wondering: How many inches of snow today in NYC? Here’s what New Yorkers can expect.

Early reports predicted 1-3 inches of snow in New York City. But by 8:30 a.m., Central Park had already recorded 4.8 inches of snow. Now, meteorologists think snow totals will top off around 6 inches. But if you’re sick of the winter weather, you’re in luck. The snow is expected to be over by early afternoon. And hopefully, you won’t have to worry about it icing over on the sidewalks, because temperatures will rise into the 40s and melt it all away. So, let’s pretend this little April snow storm never happened? Cool.

The snow began falling early this morning.

And it accumulated quickly.

In fact, this is the snowiest April NYC has seen in decades.

But like we said, the snow is expected to be over by early afternoon.
