Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth's Low-Key Wedding Cost Less Than the Average US Wedding
The Last Song co-stars Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth officially tied the knot after almost 10 years of dating.

The two kept things very simple and low-key for their nuptials and accompanying reception (at least as far as celebrities go), spending what E! estimates to be somewhere around $17,000.
The average cost of weddings in the US, per The Knot's latest survey of 13,000 couples, is $33,391. So this puts the Cyrus-Hemworth wedding well below the national average.
Here, a breakdown of of the price tag on their super secret ceremony.
The Dress: $8,000+
Cyrus wore an off-the-shoulder gown by Vivienne Westwood, one that was made-to-order rather than custom made for the bride. The dress doesn't appear on the Vivienne Westwood website, but her dress is believed to be the designer's Long Cocotte Dress ($8,620).
Flowers: $1,500+
Free-spirited Malibu Miley loves her flowers. Cyrus and Hemsworth reportedly spent somewhere around $1,500 for an arch of roses and baby's breath, the bride's bouquet, and the groom's boutonnière (both made of white anemone).
The Cake: $200+
The newlyweds kept things simple when it came to the cake and even used a local bakery. The two opted for a two-tiered wedding cake and three dozen cupcakes from Nashville's Ivey Cake, which typically costs over $200.
Alcohol and Drinks: $1,500+
The new husband and wife know how to throw a party-there was no shortage of bubbly at Cyrus and Hemsworth's wedding. Per guests' Instagram stories, it looks like the two served Veuve Clicquot champagne, sparkling water from La Croix, and wine. E! reports that two cases of Veuve alone would cost the couple over $1,000, jacking the price tag on beverages up well over $1,500.
Balloons: $675+
Cyrus and Hemsworth didn't skimp on the helium. The two used an organic balloon company to create a custom balloon arch, metallic Mr. & Mrs. balloons, and balloons with the couple's wedding date printed on them. E! reports the festive wedding decor likely totaled somewhere around $675, based on prices from Vroom Vroom Balloon's website.

Hemsworth's tux, vintage glassware, serving materials, and additional wedding decor (and food) that weren't pictured on any guests' Instagram stories brings the total cost of their wedding to a relatively modest ~$17,000.
