Here's What You Need to Know About Netflix's Super-Heroine ‘She-Ra’ Reboot

Get ready to say “For the honor of Grayskull” a lot, because that’s the signature phrase of She-Ra, the ’80s-era animated tv character who’s being revived by Netflix and Dreamworks.

Here’s her story: She-Ra is the long-lost sister of golden-haired do-gooder He-Man. She was kidnapped as a child, but then discovered her true identity and magical powers. She’s got super strength, agility and speed, as well as the Sword of Protection, which morphs into a shield, giant handcuffs and even a space helmet. And—don’t change that channel—she rides a trusty unicorn named Swift Wind.

We can’t wait to see how 25-year-old comic illustrator and writer Noelle Stevenson translates the show for today’s audience. As sure as that unicorn’s got wings, we’ll enjoy watching She-Ra and her brother raise blades (or maybe have a dance-off?) to save their planet Etheria against the cackling Skeletor and his motley horde.
