What's Going On Between the Kardashians and Former Stylist Monica Rose?

If you “keep up” with the Kardashians, you may have heard that the famous family reportedly parted ways with its longtime stylist, Monica Rose, after ten years of skin-tight outfits, latex, and unapologetic cleavage-flaunting. Rose had been dressing the family – specifically, Kim, Khloé and Kourtney, along with Kendall and Kylie Jenner – since 2007, after meeting Kim on the set of a shoot for Complex Magazine. As People reported last week, Khloé suddenly dropped Rose several weeks ago, citing a desire to work with different stylists. But, as is often the case in Hollywood, that may not be the end of the story.
According to gossip column Page Six, the “mysterious split” was far from amicable. Though details are scarce, an unnamed source told the site “the Kardashians/Jenners are upset because [Rose] was like family to them.” The source also told Page Six that Khloé is “furious” and plans to sue her former friend, though it is not clear why, as Rose maintains she’s done nothing but support the family.
This could all be brushed aside as baseless gossip, but there are two things that complicate the matter. First, and perhaps most importantly, the Kardashian-Jenner crew suddenly stopped following Rose on Instagram as of last week (which we all know means drama); and secondly, none of them has publicly spoken on the split or responded to reporters’ requests for comment, doing little to quell speculation.
For now, Rose is still working with several other famous clients, including Chrissy Teigen, Cara Delevingne, and Kaia Gerber. The Kardashian-Jenners, meanwhile, have collaborated with several stylists as of late, including Marni Senofonte (who worked with Beyoncé on Lemonade), and Jill Jacobs — who happens to be Rose’s former assistant. That’s gotta burn.
