First Wives Club is the latest cult-favorite classic movie being reimagined as a television series.

A television adaptation of First Wives Club just received a 10-episode series order from Paramount Network, the Hollywood Reporter reports. The 1996 film starred Diane Keaton, Bette Midler, and Goldie Hawn as a group of recently-divorced women in New York who ban together to get revenge on their exes. The movie was based on the 1992 best-selling novel of the same name by Olivia Goldsmith.

Here's everything we know about the upcoming television version:

No Cast Members Have Been Announced

The series was picked up without a cast attached to the project. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount Network is reportedly looking to cast non-white actresses in the three leading roles. Details have not yet been announced, but we'll update this space as new information is released.

The Premiere Date Will Likely Be in 2019

Luckily, fans won't have to wait long to watch the series. Production will begin this summer in New York, and the series is set to premiere in 2019.

The Co-Writer of Girls Trip is Helming the Project

Tracy Oliver, who co-wrote last year's hit Girls Trip with Kenya Barris, will write and executive produce the series, according to Variety. Oliver will be joined by Karen Rosenfelt and Scott Rudin, who are also executive producers. Oliver shared the good news on Twitter:

"Tracy Oliver is a brilliant writer and the perfect visionary to bring this unforgettable story from the big screen to the small screen in a fresh and contemporary way," Keith Cox, president of development and production at Paramount Network, said in a statement when the news was announced.

First Wives Club Was Unsuccessfully Rebooted in 2016

Back in 2016, TV Land attempted to remake the series with Alyson Hannigan, Megan Hilty, and Vanessa Lachey in the starring roles, according to TV Line. That version didn't make it past the pilot stage, which paved the way for this upcoming series.
