Tekashi 6ix9ine is currently in jail after pleading not guilty to his federal racketeering charge, and he'll likely remain there until he stands trial next September. So, yeah-any business deals he was in the middle of will understandably have to be put on hold.

The thing is, Tekashi was reportedly mid-collaboration with clothing brand Fashion Nova, and things are a little awkward. According to a new report from TMZ, the rapper was supposed to namedrop Fashion Nova on his new song "MAMA" featuring Kanye West and Nicki Minaj.

Sources tell TMZ that Tekashi had a six-figure deal with the company to include their branding in his video, and to use the lyric "Splish splash Fashion Nova make that ass phat." Instead, the lyric is "Splish splash apple bottoms make that ass phat." And, um, he'd reportedly already been paid by the brand before making the change. And double um, now he's in jail.

TMZ reports that Fashion Nova "hasn't yet demanded money back from the deal" and are waiting to see how this whole thing shakes out. Meanwhile, they also report that the reason Tekashi changed the lyrics is because Nicki Minaj asked him to. Apparently, she wasn't having it due to her rival Cardi B being Fashion Nova's brand ambassador. 👀
