This 'Bachelor' Contestant Confessing Her Love for Another Contestant Is the Greatest Thing Ever
In an iconic moment in Bachelor history, a contestant on the Vietnam version of the show threw viewers for a loop when she passionately confessed her love-but not for the Bachelor.
Contestant Minh Thu, who did not receive a rose and was being sent home, decided to shoot her shot and revealed she was in love with her fellow contestant, Truc Nhu, during the dramatic rose ceremony.
In tears, Thu went over to her beloved and asked her to "come home" with her.
The host's face was PRICELESS.
Nhu, who did receive a rose from Bachelor Nguyen Quoc Trung, comforts Thu and actually agrees to leave with her (!!!). Apologizing to Trung, Nhu says, "I'm sorry. I really want to get to know you. Because you’re someone who made me feel special and I haven’t felt that way in a long time."
Shocked, Trung replies calmly, "I want you to know that if you do this, you’ll feel regretful. This won’t change my decision. I’m not going to give this rose to anyone else."
But unfortunately, there's no happy ending for Nhu and Thu. According to Next Shark, Nhu changes her mind after an emotional conversation with Trung and decides to stay in the competition. A dramatic twist like this is unprecedented in Bachelor history. Next Shark reports "there has never been anything like this happening on-air in the history of the franchise, which covers 100 different seasons in over 30 different countries."
