Anyone But You blew all expectations out of the water when it landed in theaters in December 2023.

Scoring close to ten times its budget at the worldwide box office, Anyone But You's success restored hope in the rom-com renaissance and even revived Natasha Bedingfield's hit 2004 song "Unwritten" for a new generation.

Iconic couples of the genre have kept audiences going to movie theaters throughout the decades.

We've had Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo, Katherine Heigl and James Marsden, and now Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney as Powell reveals that the two are looking for their next project.

Powell told Variety, "Sydney is so easy to work with and so fun", before dropping hints that the duo are "definitely trying to find the next thing".

It appears the two are actively working towards making another appearance on screen together soon.

Powell says, "We're reading everything and just trying to see what makes sense, what we can turn into something that audiences are going to respond to."

If the box office numbers are anything to go by, audiences can hope that a new rom-com era is on the horizon and perhaps Powell and Sweeney will be the new on-screen it couple.
