Anya Taylor-Joy Secretly Marries Malcolm McRae

Anya Taylor-Joy secretly wed boyfriend of one year Malcolm McRae.

The nuptials took place somewhere in the U.S., before the pair had to fly off to Australia so the actress could continue filming Furiosa, the prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road, per Page Six.

They were spotted together today in Sydney, with Taylor-Joy looking relaxed in a tan turtleneck sweater, blue jeans, and her massive engagement ring.

The news of their marriage comes weeks after the Queen’s Gambit star was spotted out in Sydney with the musician and actor wearing her green-diamond engagement ring. An onlooker told the Daily Mail of her appearance at the time, "She bounded off the plane and then seemed to flash the ring at her driver before getting in the car. She was either showing off the ring or doing a dance move. Either way, she looked ecstatic."

Taylor-Joy and McRae began dating in early 2021, and Taylor-Joy essentially confirmed their romance during a talk with Elle that April, referring to him as her "partner." Of their long-distance relationship, the actress told the magazine, "Yes, it is [difficult], but it’s also kind of great because when you’re together you’re really valuing the time that you have. Everyday mundane activities are so full of joy. I love going to the petrol station with him and filling up the car and going to get breakfast."

By July 2021, The Sun reported that the two were "practically living together," and now, it seems, they are husband and wife.
