Some feathers were definitely ruffled when Amazon Prime Day became a thing circa 2015. The C-suite of Walmart was probably thinking, who the hell is this bald, devilishly ripped geezer stealing our customers? Wayfair no doubt was also side-eyeing, we have our own Way Day too, you wannabe. As for Target, it's likely still baffled by how they can't rhyme with "Day" in their name. Conjectures aside, our point is that these retailers—and many others—are not the only ones having sales event this July; many have already launched their own 2022 midsummer savings to (try to) thwart you-know-who's rise.
So while Amazon Prime Day is officially happening now and lasts from July 12 and July 13, competitors like Huckberry, Walmart, Nordstrom, Wayfair, and more are not short of discounts to shop around the same time.
