Paul Kersey: It was obvious that NYC would be the center. Dense population, international city with 3,000 planes in and out per day, everyone in close quarters, all have to work to be able to afford the place, so they don’t stay home. The problem now is that many are leaving the city and spreading out, which might become a big problem for other states, namely the southern ones. It’s easy to Monday morning QB the governors, Trump, mayors...etc. The truth is though that we’ve not seen anything like this in recent history. There is no precedent for getting a highly interconnected global economy through something like this without destroying it. How do you lock down a free country? Where is the line? What rights are more important than other rights? How do you do this without inciting a mass panic? Joe and Karen Schmoe sitting on the couch have all the answers, but they don’t have all the facts, and they don’t have the epic novel full of things to consider, and many probably don’t have the brain power to process it anyway. All I’m saying is that their job isn’t easy, and the media, social or otherwise isn’t helping. The amateur medical experts, armchair politicians, economists, psychologists...etc should maybe consider that.
