Anthony Mackie has starred alongside many huge Hollywood names, from Hillary Swank to Matt Damon. But there's one actor who left him flustered.

In a profile with Inverse promoting Captain America: Brave New World, Mackie confessed that he was very nervous to film with Harrison Ford, who plays antagonist Thunderbolt Ross.

"The first day was so intimidating," recalled Mackie. "I was so f------g nervous I couldn't remember my lines. He's Harrison f------g Ford. There is this aura about him. But he dispels that really quickly because he's such a cool guy. He's everything a movie star should be. "[Ford] would say, 'Let's shoot this piece of shit. And everybody was like, 'Yeah, let's shoot this shit."

Though the actor was unable to share specific details about the screen time spent with the Indiana Jones star, he did reveal that they have many scenes together. "We spent a good bit of time together. Ross and Cap have always had that relationship, where they were friends and they respected each other, but they always bumped heads. That's their relationship in the storyline."

The fourth installment of the MCU's Captain America continues the story from Disney+'s series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The series saw Mackie's character Sam Wilson taking over the shield of Captain America.

Ford replaced William Hurt, who portrayed the character in previous MCU movies, including Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Endgame. Hurt passed away in 2022 from terminal prostate cancer, a week before turning 72.
