Anthony Anderson Talks Embarrassing Childhood Moment at a PTA Meeting (Exclusive)

Anthony Anderson is known for his bubbly, bright, and talkative personality, but apparently, it also got him into some trouble as a kid.

Anderson and his mother, known as Mama Doris–who are celebrating the release of their travel show, Trippin' With Anthony Anderson and Mama Doris–sat down with Parade's Keesha Williams to talk about the show, childhood memories, and more.

One of the questions Williams asked the pair led to a hilarious answer: "What's the most embarrassing moment you can laugh about now?"

Anderson's mother knew the answer right away, throwing a hand in the air with only her pointer finger up and saying, "This is Anthony, holding his hand--"

Anderson cut in, realizing where the story was going, saying, "Oh, stop it!"

Doris ignored him and continued, "--Telling his teacher, 'Miss Martin, I got something to tell you.' But Miss Martin said, 'No, stand up and let everybody hear what you got to say!'"

She went on, imitating a young, naive Anderson and shrugging her shoulders. "And he said, 'Okay, Miss Martin I think you--'" Then, Anderson really cut his mother off, screaming, "Stop!" and covering her mouth with his hand.

Clearly, young Anderson pointed out a bodily function that was probably better left unsaid, and the actor's still a bit embarrassed by it. His mother explained, "Yeah, he told his teacher, at the PTA meeting. Biggest PTA meeting."

Relenting, Anderson shared another detail, "She was wearing all white," before Doris' next comment, "Big ole stain..." had him adding, "Stop Mama, people don't need to know all that."

The mother-son duo will continue to show off their amazing, and hilarious chemistry on their travel reality series, Trippin' With Anthony Anderson and Mama Doris, which premiered on June 22 and airs new episodes weekly on Thursdays.
