If You Answer Yes to These 3 Questions, You NEED An Exit Outfit

The exit of your wedding is when all of the days' energy comes to a sweet and vibrant end where you and your spouse leave for the honeymoon (or at least the honeymoon suite)! Some people do lantern exits, other do sparklers... either way it's a sweet send off as you wave your guests goodbye. In many scenarios, the bride is wearing her wedding dress to leave, but THE cutest and most underrated wedding tradition is when the bride changes into an "exit outfit." If you answer yes to these questions, you need to start shopping for your "exit" outfit.

Are you going straight to the airport? If you're hopping in the car with your bags packed when you exit your wedding, you'll want to be comfortable and ready when you arrive at the airport. It's especially fun if you can find an exit outfit that you will also wear on your honeymoon. Try a beautiful jumpsuit that's comfortable to wear on a plane. You can be glam when you leave your wedding then throw a cardigan over it when you board the plane. It will put you in the honeymoon mood seamlessly.

Are there events happening after your wedding reception? If you're leaving a brunch reception or even a late afternoon wedding, you still have a full day ahead of you to enjoy time with your new spouse. This is also applicable if you're planning on a fun after-party, no matter what time your reception ends! If you're attending the party, you NEED another dress! Put on a lace dress and keep the party going. Spend the rest of your day or night out on the town with your spouse and bridal party or go for a quiet walk on the beach just the two of you. The day doesn't have to be over just because your reception is over.

Is your photographer planning on staying until your exit? It's common for your wedding photographer to leave before the exit. They often just take a few photos of the reception and then leave, but if you get the rare situation where you've planned on having them stay, use that to your advantage. Put on another outfit and have them take some relaxed photos of you and your new spouse before you go. Sometimes the most laid back moments can produce the most beautiful photos.

Brides often believe that they have to stay in their wedding dress until they absolutely have to take it off. Of course, you want to prolong your time in that dress, but, sometimes, it just makes sense to put on a different outfit. Be relaxed and enjoy your exit... and if you're wearing a romper; feel free to do a cartwheel out of your reception.
