Another Pro Bids Farewell To Sponsor

It has been a rough offseason for many professional enduro racers. As budgets shrink and the sport struggles to market itself, many riders are being left without teams.

The latest of these riders is Evan Wall. See his farewell post to Devinci Global Racing below.

Evan certainly has no bad blood with his old team. He called his tenure there the best years of his life! Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and Wall was on the receiving end of an unfortunate break.

Despite his good results, the team he rode for decided to close its doors, in part due to the questionable ROI on enduro racing. Wall is in the unfortunate position of being very good at a sport less marketable than it once was.

Evan Wall is a fan-favorite rider. In 2020, he won the inaugural Pinkbike Academy reality show and the prize of a year of factory support in 2021. Wall pounced on the opportunity and landed a 14th place at the final EWS of the year.

Thanks to a strong 2021, Wall was able to land a factory ride at Devinci for 2022 and 2023. Wall improved on his results scoring a 12th place at the EWS Burke in 2022.

Though Evan makes no mention of a ride for 2024, he will certainly be racing one way or another. We at Bikemag wish him luck going forward.
